The Blues over at I Heart Faces

I love the challenges over at I Heart Facesbut, once again, having grown up children and, of course, my limited photo skills, puts me at an extreme disadvantage. Hard to beat an adorable baby with a silly little grin sucking on her toes. Oh well, it's fun just to snap a few pics. Pop over to see all the other amazing shots.

This is my youngest, Steven. We enjoyed a walk along the pier on his very last day before leaving to Korea. The ocean was a gorgeous shade of blue.

A Sunday Smile by retrodiva

I absolutely adore this kit by retrodiva called A Sunday Smile. The colors are fabulous and the elements are cute and fun.

Also, we have a new challenge over at Digital Freebies called RAK with Jessica and, I have no idea why, I had never done a layout for someone else before. Designing for someone else is so much fun, come on over and try it.

Made with DFF September Mega Kit.

How cute are these kids? Another benefit for me is I get to scrap little ones as my babies are all grown.

Fall Landscape Bokeh Assignment

I love The Pioneer Woman. She has the best photo action freebies and just a fabulous website. She issued a challenge, "Take a picture of something fall-y with fabulous bokeh" and with my limited photo ability, I could actually participate in.

This is about as 'fall-y' as we get here in south Cali.

Cross Your Fingers

It’s nearly 7 am, in about an hour I’ll be dropping my dog off at the vet’s for surgery and I am just a tad (a BIG tad) stressed. Everything should be okay. I’ve been filling her with antibiotics and vitamins for a month prepping her for today. But, one just never knows what could go wrong. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it will all go wonderfully. Please Pooder, be okay.

Gyspy Couture ~ Subtle Shift

YaY!! Lisa from Gyspy Couture has released a new kit called Subtle Shift and, as usual, it is gorgeous. You just gotta check it out over at DigiChick.

Aquarium of the Pacific

My legs are so sore! Tuesday Steven and I spent the day at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. The place is absolutely fabulous! The weather was gorgeous, the exhibits were incredible and sharing it all with my youngest was the pièce de résistance. To top it off, Tuesday was Senior Day so everyone over the age of 50, that’s me, got in for free. YaY! The place was horribly crowded and we needed to dodge walkers as well as strollers and we took the stairs more often than not (the line for the elevators was endless) but I’ll duck and weave and hit a few steps for a freebie.

It was such a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go again.

An All New Me

This blog, in part, is me restructuring my being.

Somehow, with everything that’s been going on lately, my days have simply become too cluttered for me to enjoy. Definitely time to make changes.

Welcome to my new blog (Pushing Pixels) and my new name (JustAnotherPixelPusher). I promise to make much more of an effort to stay current with my updates.

A quick update of the events in my life, Steven leaves for Korea Saturday night. There are no words to describe how very much I am going to miss his every day presence. On the other hand, my precious last born is extremely elated with this opportunity to immerse himself in another culture and lifestyle. Believe me, I am doing all I can to remind myself what an amazing experience he’ll be enjoying but the selfish side of me keeps rearing its ugly head. My baby leaves Saturday. I’m going to miss him so much.

Pooder, my beloved furry cohort, has been dealing with a few medical troubles which had my heart tied in knots but it looks like she’s going to crawl through with flying colors. Although she’ll need surgery in a couple weeks, appears she’s going to be a-okay.

A few weeks back I stumbled on Ancestry.com and I am completely obsessed with researching the history of my relations. It’s been illuminating, all families have a couple little dark secrets no one speaks about and mine is no exception. I admit it’s been fun uncovering a few.

Due to a temperamental internet connection, I’ve resigned from three of my CT commitments.

Sometimes life is just a pain.
