So, thanks Kate for the nod. I appreciate it. If you don't check out this site Gallery Standouts you definitely should. You never know what you'll find there.

I Can Name That Tune In...
Once upon a time I would wake up every morning with a song playing in my head, usually a different song each time but a song. As of late, there hasn’t been much music going on up there. I can’t explain my loss of music, my guess it has much to do with this bout of depression I’ve been wading through but it could also be caused the lack of music flowing into my brain. Music has always been a huge part of my life but, for some reason, it’s been adding to my sorrow. This morning, or middle of the night to be precise, Jason Mraz was crooning ‘I’m Yours’ to me as I awoke. Nice to have the music back, like welcoming an old friend back home.
Speaking of old friends..
I had connect with an old friend I’d lost touch with on my New Year’s Resolutions’ list and not only have I been in touch for one but I’ve been corresponding with a few people I was once very close with. Catching up has been fun, I never realized how much I missed talking to them, how much I missed the person I was when I’m with them. But, along with happy news there’s also been some sad, the boy I was serious with before I started dating my husband was killed in a boating accident a couple years back. Weird thing was, I had a feeling something had happened to him. Honestly, I’m not too sure how I feel about his passing, I hadn’t seen him in nearly thirty years but, somewhere inside there’s another empty place.
One more note of sorrow then I promise to move on. Tigger, my beloved cat of seventeen years passed on last week after being ill for a few months. I am heart-broken and I truly miss him daily. This one was the topper, the one to push me over the edge. I know he was a cat but, no matter what anyone else claims, he was MY cat.
Now that you have some idea as to where I’m at, I still have been clicking away and even putting a few pages together. Since Pixel Canvas closed and Digital Freebies gave many of us the boot (why, I do not know) it took me a bit to find a new place to post. I’ve finally landed over at SBG and at The DigiChick. The people are friendly as well as both helpful and complimentary, the challenges are fun and the designers are amazing. Lately, I’ve been digging the ‘Altered Art’ style and SBG has a weekly AA challenge I enjoy quite a bit. Here are a few pages I’ve done..
This page was inspired by the artwork of Goro Fujita
This is done with the fabulous kit by Studio Gypsy (available at SBG)
This with a kit by the fabulous Natali Designs (also available at SBG)
How about a few photos?
And, I'll leave you with a link to a wonderful website that I have fallen in love with. The site is so aesthetically pleasing I find myself feeling calm and serene just by looking at all the wonderful photos and posts. It's called Such Pretty Things. Check it out.
I'll catch ya'll a bit later.
Ciao

If I were..
I apologize for once again being a horrible blogger but, lately, I seriously feel like lukewarm gopher poo. My tummy aches almost constantly (it's from the new meds)and I have little energy for much of anything. Add to the load that we're moving (more about that later)from the place we've lived in for more than 30 years (tons and tons and tons of crap to toss) and I'm a wee bit overwhelmed. I promise to upload a freebie before Wednesday (I have a couple ready to go but the thought of uploading is just too much at the moment). I have been doing a bit of scrapping (as well as packing boxes), the scrapping is relaxing and somewhat comforting. So, just know I haven't forgotten you, and I'll be back soon with bunches of goodies.
I found this over at Gerushia's New World and thought it was the cutest little survey..
What Would You Be?
If I were a month I’d be May
If I were a day I’d be Sunday
If I were a time of day I’d be sunrise
If I were a planet I’d be Venus
If I were a sea animal I’d be a dolphin
If I were a direction I’d be west
If I were a piece of furniture I’d be a rocking chair
If I were a liquid I’d be wine
If I were a gem stone I’d be diamond
If I were a tree I’d be a magnolia
If I were a tool I’d be a drill
If I were a flower I’d be a dandelion
If I were an element of weather I’d be the rain
If I were a musical instrument I’d be a flute
If I were a color I'd be blue
If I were an emotion I’d be love
If I were a fruit I’d be a mango
If I were a sound I’d be laughter
If I were an element I'd be water
If I were a car I’d be a mustang
If I were a food I’d be pasta
If I were a place I’d be a jungle
If I were a material I'd be silk
If I were a taste I’d be bittersweet
If I were a scent I’d be jasmine
If I were a body part I’d be a mouth
If I were a facial expression I'd be a smile
If I were a song I’d be sung by adam levine
If I were a bird I'd be a dove
If I were a gift I'd be a book
If I were a street I'd be unpaved
If I were a city I'd be Paris
If I were a door I'd be open
If I were a pair of shoes I’d be slippers
And what would you be?

Yes, It's Me
Good evening/morning. Damn, I didn't realize it was already 3-ish am here. Wow, time sure flies when one is pulling her hair out by the roots attempting to put together this crazy Zen Cart crap. Back in the day, I could throw together a website pretty darn quick using html but this php stuff is much more difficult for me. That's what happens when one gets old I suppose. Bleeck.
Anyway, the real reason I popped on was not to whine and bitch about my shop but to post some photos cause I'm in the Amazing Digi Scrapping Race. How super awesome is that? I'm really excited! We received our first assignment, being as we are two person team, we are to create an introduction page on our partners. My lovely and talented scrapping other half is Jess (nof007750) who I met over at Digital Freebies. Her layouts are amazing and I'm sure she'll carry me through the entire competition. She needs a photo of me so here's a few..
I love trees
Doing the 'we won' dance
Snorkling in Hawaii
Wrestling with one of my players
At Disneyland a few hundred years ago
Yes, I once was that young
and I once was that thin
After a win
This is one of my favorite photos
I was a Brownie
Looks like I went a bit picture posting crazy. Oh well..
Catch ya'll manana.

Is it me..?? (& a freebie)
Seriously, is it me? Seems like something happens with every scrap site I fall in love with. I'm begining to see myself as somewhat of a jinx. This is just so poo. Bleeck.
Anyway, sorry I skipped a few days bloggingwise but I've had a bit of tummy trouble. When the belly begins to act up, it's best for me to hit the bed, strap on a heating pad and sleep my aches and pains away. I finished reading East of Eden (ech) and I have been keeping up with my layouts and working on my store though. Go me!
I finished this page this morning, how adorable was my oldest when he was younger? I did this one for the Digi Chick Blog scraplift. Did you know they moved all their challenges to their blog? I just found out, I was wondering what happened to them. I used All I Need by Paislee Press and also her template, Press Plate #15. I'm sure you're familiar with her blog, if not, pop over and check out her lessons on photography as well as her gorgeous kits.
This page is for MScraps Photography Challenge about reflections. You should check out the amazing photos. I had this photo of the house next door reflected in my DD's beer bottle and I love it. I used Three Paper Peonies 'Beautiful' kit available at MScraps.
Last but never least, this page of my daughter, my youngest son and my dad for a scraplift over at MScraps. Made with Three Paper Peonies kit called Change.
And, before I waddle over to bed, here's a little something for you just because I love all of you so much.
Grab It before next Friday cause it will be gone.

I'm off to do a bit of work on my shop. Anyone know how to figure out Zen Cart, please, holla.

Happy February!!
Happy first of February!! I love this month being as Valentine's Day falls right in the middle. V-Day is my favorite holiday, I just love it. Flowers and chocolate and cards, oh my. How can you beat that?
Have you had a moment to pop over to the grand opening of Memory Scraps, or MScraps for short? They have a fabulous line up of designers, tons of super fun challenges and, from what I can tell, a friendly group of scrappers. I grabbed this kit called Love by Three Paper Peonies..
Aren't the colors fantastic?
And I also grabbed Hello Sunshine by Kelley Mickus Designs..
I love all the yellow so much I put together this page for their template challenge.
No matter what month it is, the first day is always so thrilled for me with all the new challenges and there are so many fabulous ones out there.
After Five has a wonderful "On The House" challenge where they provide you with a gorgeous mini kit to work with. This month's freebie is by Cinnamon Designs and it is stunning. Drop by and grab it ASAP.
Another one of my favs is the Pen Scrappers Wacom contest where you can win a Bamboo Craft plus so much more. How awesome is that? Just bounce over to download the kit and get started.
And don't forget to check out tomorrow's Tuesday With Tula to see what I have going on for you.
Just want to leave you with today's photo. I told you how cluttered my night stand was and here's a bit of proof.

Once Again...
I am not an organized person. Nothing I do could in any way be expressed with the words ‘structure’ or ‘orderly’. Any item I may need in the next six months (or have used in the past six months) must be within reach for when I need it (never mind that I can’t possibly find most of what I need hidden among all the other objects I might need). It’s not as if I’m lazy (okay, sometimes it’s EXACTLY that I am lazy) it’s more that I simply do not want to get up to retrieve an article when I want it. That is why my computer desk and my bedroom night stand is crammed full of books, magazines, dvds, cds, photos, meds, and so on and so on. I’ll come up with an excuse for why the rest of the house is in constant disarray at a later date.
Have I mentioned how easily distracted I am?
I mention my lack of clutter-busting skills to explain away my absence over the last few weeks. One of my goals this year is to get organized, my computer, my home and, hopefully, my mind as well. There are kits hidden away amidst photos, finished scrap pages, unfinished scrap pages, fonts and so much more, I have never used simply because I forgot I had them. I have clothes bunched up in my closet I haven’t worn for the same reason. I want to launch my own shop by this February 14th (not next year) and there is just no way I can commit myself to running any type of business without putting my belongings in order.
During the month of January, I put time and money into this beast of a machine (if you’ve read me at all, you know how much I’ve hated this computer) and it is now running wonderfully. I have a new disc burner, replaced my sound card so I can listen to music as I assemble my scrap empire and finally, a new 500 gig hard drive to hoard away all my goodies. Did I say hoard? I meant to say O.R.G.A.N.I.Z.E. my stock. In addition, since no one around here truly understand me; I bought myself a Christmas present, a Wacom Bamboo Craft tablet. How awesome is that!?! I haven’t used it yet, I was saving it for when my computer was all pimped up so I’m breaking that bad boy out tomorrow. YaY!
It’s not as if I haven’t done anything this month, I did have time to scrap a few pages and take a few snapshots.
Goals for February 2010
1. Organize entire scrapbook supplies
2. Open shop by the 14th
3. Five layouts a week
4. Four blog postings a week
5. Take a photo every day
6. Lose five more pounds
7. Design and finalize a logo
I’m sure there’s more I should be adding but six is a good start.
Love ya,

I'm Yours
You must listen to this song called "I'm Yours" by The Script.
Cool, huh? The whole cd is amazing. Totally touches my heart. If you have the opportunity, pick up the cd. You'll thank me later.

ChitChat & A Freebie
Happy Friday all.
Just thought it was time I stopped by with a little goodie so I don’t lose your interest. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Mine was fabulous, got just about everything on my Christmas list, including a cat who is still breathing. That’s right, Tigger is alive and getting better every day. We’re not sure what actually happened to him, whether it was a stroke, poisoning or kidney problems. Believe me, it costs way too much to find out the true perpetrator so we just pumped him full of antibiotics (doctor’s orders) and coddled and cuddled him, which he loved. I have spoon-fed him baby food, IV’d him with fluids, bathed him, rocked him and even sang to him not to mention all the kitty poo I’ve had to clean up. Bleeck. It’s all worth it when I now see recognition in those gorgeous green eyes of his.
With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, I put together a little goodie for you.

Off With Their Heads..
How fabulously HOT is this kit called "Spunky Explosion" by the amazing Gypsy Couture!! I absolutely adore it!! The colors, the elements and the papers are brilliant and so much fun to work with. Pop on over to The DigiChick to grab this yummy kit at a wonderfully reduced introductory price. You'll thank me later.
Also, I wanted to share with you this visual stunning site I have fallen head over heels with. I am completely in love with her style and her camp. I stumbled over her on Flickr and charged right over to her fantastic blog. Take a gander at her mind-blowing ability. Tumble Fish Studios
This is my favorite, how great is this quote?
Remember to keep the people of Haiti in your thoughts. If you feel you need to do something more check out this site Charity Watch where they rate the well-known charities for you, I'm sure you'll find a couple you can put your faith in.
